The plowshare refers to the core iron component of traditional farming tools that performs the task of soil plowing. It consists of the plowshare (for breaking the soil) and the plowbody (for turning the soil), and it plays a crucial role in agriculture by breaking up the soil layer and turning the soil.
In the early days, the products were mainly made of cast iron (such as the old-fashioned plowshares from the 1970s), with a dark black surface. The triangular plowshare design enhanced the efficiency of breaking the soil. Modern products have been upgraded to use alloy materials such as manganese steel (65Mn) and boron steel, with a hardness of 45-50 HRC after heat treatment, significantly improving wear resistance.
The plowshare and the plow body adopt a separate structure, allowing for independent replacement (such as the German Rabe SUPER series). The range of adjustable plowing width is 33-60 centimeters, suitable for various types of soil, including sandy loam to clay soil.
