High Manganese Steel Hammer Mill Hammer Blades
The hammer claw, a core and easily worn working component of agricultural machinery such as straw return machines and crushers, is designed for high-strength and high-toughness field operations. It is widely used in crushing and returning hard straws such as corn, cotton, and sorghum to the field, as well as in stubble removal. Its name comes from its unique hammer-shaped structure, combined with claw-like edges, which generates powerful impact and shearing forces under high-speed rotation, efficiently crushing and mixing crop residues, and significantly improving the efficiency of returning soil organic matter to the field.
This product is precision cast from high-manganese alloy steel or wear-resistant cast steel, and undergoes high-temperature quenching and tempering treatment, achieving a surface hardness of HRC 48-55 while maintaining good core toughness. The hammer claw head is designed with a raised wear-resistant layer or tungsten carbide weld overlay, greatly enhancing its wear resistance. The overall structure consists of a hinged end and a working end:
the hinged end uses precision-machined through holes and connects to the crusher rotor with a high-strength pin shaft, making replacement convenient; the working end features a claw-like or blade-like geometric cutting edge, and some models have added reinforcing ribs on the back to prevent breakage due to impacts from stones or hard objects during operation.
High crushing efficiency: The claw-shaped blades effectively grip and tear straw, producing uniformly long shredded residue (generally ≤5cm), meeting the agronomic requirements of deep plowing or no-till sowing.
High durability: The wear-resistant layer design extends the product's lifespan by 30%-50% compared to ordinary cast steel hammer claws, significantly reducing the frequency of replacements in the field.
Safety and Balance: Each batch of products undergoes dynamic balancing testing, with paired weight errors controlled within ±5 grams. This ensures no severe vibration during high-speed rotor operation, protecting the spindle and bearings.
Wide Compatibility: Available in various specifications including straight shank, bent shank, and extended shank types, suitable for mainstream models from Hebei, Shandong, and European and American brands (such as John Deere and Kuhn). Hole spacing and installation angles are strictly designed according to original factory standards.
