Agricultural Tractor Plow Share Point / Plow Tip – High Hardness Forged Steel Wear Parts for Disc Plough
This plowshare tip, a core and easily worn component of agricultural tillage machinery, is specifically designed for use with various moldboard plows, reversible plows, and ditchers. Mounted at the very front of the plow body, it is the first component to contact the soil, cut the clods, and bear the greatest friction and impact. Its quality directly determines tillage efficiency, energy consumption, and the overall lifespan of the plow body.
1、Selected Materials: High-carbon low-alloy structural steel or high-quality 65Mn manganese steel containing boron, manganese, and other alloying elements are used. The addition of trace alloying elements significantly improves the hardenability and toughness of the material.
2、Advanced Heat Treatment: The material undergoes overall heating, oil quenching, and medium-temperature tempering to obtain a uniform and refined tempered martensitic structure. The cutting edge is further enhanced with localized high-frequency quenching, creating a "hard outside, tough inside" performance gradient: surface hardness reaches HRC 48-55, while the core maintains excellent impact toughness.
3、Enhanced process: Some high-end models use wear-resistant welding rods to build up or plasma spray the tungsten carbide hard alloy layer on the soil contact surface, forming a dense wear-resistant grid, which increases the service life by 2-3 times compared to ordinary plow tips.
Streamlined entry angle: A 25°-30° entry angle optimized based on soil dynamics ensures self-sharpening performance, reduces traction resistance by 15%-20%, and lowers fuel consumption.
Reinforcing ribs and positioning structure: Trapezoidal reinforcing ribs are installed on the back to prevent bending deformation under high loads; bolt mounting surfaces are precision milled for accurate positioning, reliable fastening, and to prevent loosening and breakage.
High wear resistance: High surface hardness and tough substrate, maintaining a sharp cutting edge even in harsh conditions such as sandy loam and gravelly soil, allowing a single unit to cover an area of 200-300 acres.
High impact resistance: Can withstand severe impacts from hard objects such as rocks and tree roots without breaking or chipping.
Good economic efficiency: Low unit cost, and by extending the replacement cycle and reducing downtime, overall farming costs are reduced by 10%-15%.
