Plow shovel, as the most core and basic soil touching component in agricultural machinery, is known as the "tooth of farmland". In the mechanized tillage system, the plow shovel is a front-end component installed on the plow body or tiller frame. During operation, it first cuts into the soil and undertakes the key tasks of cutting, lifting, and guiding soil movement. Whether it is the deep plowing of traditional plows or the surface loosening of tillage machines, the working state of the plow directly determines the quality of farmland, soil looseness, and the growth environment for subsequent sowing.
As vulnerable parts, the quality of plows and shovels not only affects the cultivation effect, but also directly affects the operating costs of agricultural production. A high-quality plow shovel that can maintain sharpness under high-intensity wear and impact, while reducing tractor traction resistance (fuel consumption), extending replacement cycles, and improving field work efficiency.
Chisel shaped shovel: narrow in width, usually similar to the width of the shovel column, with a flat and round shape. It has strong soil crushing ability, good soil penetration performance, low working resistance, suitable for hard soil and deep loosening, and is currently one of the most commonly used shovel types for deep loosening machines.
Duck paw shovel/biplane shovel: The shovel head has a large area and is triangular or "duck paw" shaped. This design increases the cutting width of the soil and is mainly used for inter row tillage, loosening soil, and weeding. It can effectively cut off soil capillaries, but will not flip the lower layer of raw soil to the surface, making it suitable for topsoil operations with low soil strength.
65Mn (65 manganese steel): Currently the most widely used plow shovel material. It has good toughness, high surface hardness and wear resistance after heat treatment, and good bending resistance, suitable for general sandy soil and loam soil environments.
60Si2Mn (60 Silicon 2 Manganese Steel): A spring steel material with extremely high elastic limit and yield strength, better wear resistance than 65Mn, suitable for working in soil with multiple stones, and can effectively resist impact without fracture.
Excellent soil penetration performance: The precisely designed plow blade angle and tip shape ensure that the plow can quickly and stably penetrate the soil to the predetermined depth under the action of gravity, ensuring consistency in plowing depth.
Reduce traction resistance: Sharp cutting edges and smooth surface treatments (such as polishing plow walls) can reduce the friction coefficient between soil and metal, thereby reducing tractor fuel consumption and achieving energy-saving cultivation.
