Agricultural Machinery Accessories – High-Strength Wear-Resistant Plowhead

Short Description:

Selected Materials: Utilizing high-carbon low-alloy structural steel or high-quality 65Mn manganese steel containing boron, manganese, and other alloying elements. The addition of trace alloying elements significantly enhances the material’s hardenability and toughness.

Advanced Heat Treatment: Through overall heating, oil quenching, and medium-temperature tempering, a uniform and refined tempered martensitic structure is obtained. The cutting edge is further enhanced with localized high-frequency quenching, creating a “hard outside, tough inside” performance gradient: surface hardness reaches HRC 48-55, while the core maintains excellent impact toughness.

Strengthening Process: Some high-end models employ wear-resistant welding rods or plasma spraying to deposit a tungsten carbide hard alloy layer on the contact surface, forming a dense wear-resistant mesh, extending service life by 2-3 times compared to ordinary plowshare tips.

Streamlined Entry Angle: A 25°-30° entry angle optimized for soil dynamics ensures self-sharpening performance, reducing traction resistance by 15%-20% and lowering fuel consumption.

Reinforcing Ribs and Positioning Structure: Trapezoidal reinforcing ribs on the back prevent bending deformation under high loads; bolt mounting surfaces are precision milled for accurate positioning and reliable fastening, preventing loosening and breakage.

Standardized Interface: Conforms to ISO and mainstream domestic plow body installation dimensions, enabling tool-less quick replacement.

plow tip

This product is specifically designed for modern agricultural tillage. As a key, easily damaged component that comes into direct contact with the soil and withstands the greatest friction and impact, the plow tip is forged from high-quality alloy steel. It is suitable for use with various tillage equipment such as moldboard plows, reversible plows, and ditchers, and is a core auxiliary component for improving overall machine efficiency, reducing energy consumption, and ensuring tillage quality.

Unlike ordinary castings, we use precision forging to eliminate internal porosity and sand holes, significantly improving density and impact toughness. The steel is scientifically formulated with chromium (Cr) and boron (B) elements, and undergoes secondary heat treatment on key working surfaces. This ensures a surface hardness of 48-52 HRC while maintaining excellent core flexibility, effectively preventing breakage from encountering rocks or tree roots during operation.

Extremely wear-resistant: Through a thickened tungsten carbide coating or inlaid hard alloy technology, the service life in harsh soils such as sand and gravel is significantly extended. Actual measurements show a lifespan 3-5 times that of ordinary cast iron plowshares.

Sharp soil penetration: Adopting a streamlined, biomimetic curved surface design, soil adhesion and travel resistance are reduced, resulting in a tractor fuel consumption reduction of approximately 8%-12%.

Safe self-sharpening: The special structural design allows the plow tip to maintain a relatively sharp edge during the wear process, avoiding problems such as incomplete tillage and inadequate covering caused by dulling.
